The OutServe Capital Summit will take place on May 14 and 15, 2012 in Washington, D.C.

The two-day event will focus on LGBT military families. The first day, May 14th, is dedicated to workshops and presentations regarding how we can make LGBT military families stronger.  The second day, May 15th, is dedicated to congressional education with our coalition partners, including The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN) and Courage Campaign. The event will be hosted at Renaissance Washington, DC Dupont Circle.

1000-1100 – Marriage Equality in the Courts and Congress

Presentation/Panel on pending court cases and legislative strategies on marriage equality

1230-1330 – Resources to help you now

            Presentation and panel on what resources exist now to help your family

1430-1600 – Breakout sessions with attendees on ideas to help LGBT families

1600-1700 – Congressional Education Briefing (closed to media)

Presentation on what to expect in congressional meetings, breakout in teams to discuss strategy, ask questions

1730-1830 – Barefoot Bubbly Reception (Sponsored by Barefoot)

1830-2030 – Dinner
